Happy Wednesday! Let’s see what our speakers are up to this week:
Dr. Robert Bullard has been warning his fellow residents of Houston for many years about the hazards of no zoning regulations, climate change, etc. and its possible impact on their city. He’s sorry to say that he was right. By the way, if you’re still looking to support the Houston relief effort, let us suggest the Houston Food Bank.
Here’s an excellent interview with poet/translator Andrei Codrescu. Translator? “I rarely translate, and then only as penance for some unspeakable sin.” Funny guy.
It’s been a grim couple of weeks in the US … so here’s an uplifting column by Jessica Valenti.
And those are the stories for this week! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with the latest from all of our speakers, scientists and change makers!
