Weekly Roundup – Neil deGrasse Tyson, Michael Mann, David Quammen

Disney XD debuted a new cartoon this week, called “Future-Worm” … and because it’s science-related, the producers have managed to line up Neil deGrasse Tyson as the voice of what they call “an amplified version of himself”.

Climate scientist Michael Mann has collaborated with noted editorial cartoonist Tom Toles on a new book due out in a few weeks. “The Madhouse Effect” is already #1 on Amazon’s list of science books. A great read for a very hot summer.

David Quammen sounds a warning to folks visiting Yellowstone National Park – that this is real wilderness, not a zoo. “”Your park entrance receipt won’t protect you. You can be killed and eaten.” So be advised!
